Synopsis

In this absorbing drama, Isabel Coixet examines the complexities of relationships and the human experience amidst an economic crisis in the shadow of personal tragedy. The story revolves around couple Ana (Candela Peña), a journalist, and Santi (Javier Cámara), a politician, as they navigate the challenges of unemployment, financial instability, and the harsh realities of the world around them. Isabel Coixet's direction brings a raw and intimate perspective to the film, capturing the emotional depth and vulnerability of the characters. Candela Peña delivers a powerful performance as Ana, portraying her inner turmoil and search for meaning amidst uncertainty, while Javier Cámara's portrayal of Santi adds layers of complexity, as he grapples with his own guilt and insecurities.
