Synopsis
A sweeping story of love, betrayal, and cuisine, this delicious drama starring Bárbara Mori (Rubí, Women in Blue) celebrates the remarkable gastronomy and people of Peru. In 1960s Lima, the glamorous life of a privileged woman Norma (Mori) unravels when her husband leaves her for another woman, ostracising her from elite society. Facing the prospect of financial ruin, Norma decides to open an exclusive French restaurant in her home, leading her to warmly embrace the so often overlooked working people around her. With the help of these newfound allies, Norma soon embarks on a transformative journey with a daring new culinary venture. Challenging social expectations of the time and immersing herself in Peru’s cultural and culinary heritage, her experiences become a catalyst to reevaluate her life. A deeply personal project from director Ricardo de Montreuil and a tribute to the diversity of Peru's culture and cuisine, Mistura is an intimate drama and gastronomic odyssey that invites audiences to embrace the richness of life’s flavours and experiences.
